Joal Cannon Sheridan traveled to Phoenix, Arizona this past week to attend the New Frontiers conference.  While there, JoAl participated in a panel discussion titled "Hot Topics on Hot Issues."  Specifically, Joal presented information on the characterization of trust income on separate property trusts.

Three of Ausley, Algert, Robertson & Flores lawyers are on the Advanced Family Law program next week in San Antonio.  On Wednesday, August 11, JoAl Cannon Sheridan will talk about respreseting relatives in suits affecting children.  That same day she will speak on the topic of preparing for the board certification exam.

Kelly Ausley-Flores and paralegal, Ann Young, are part of a panel discussion titled "Putting Agreements on Paper."  They speak at 2:15 on March 4 at the Collaborative Law Course 2010.  Kris Algert also is part of a panel discussion titled "Case Autopsy" in which a team of professionals discusses one of their collaborative cases -- what worked and did not work in that specific case.  Kris and her panel speak at 1:30 on Thursday, March 4. 

Collaborative professionals from all over Texas (and the nation) converge on Austin this week to attend the Collaborative Law Course 2010 taking place at the AT&T Executive Educaiton & Conference Center.  The conferences is sponsored by the State Bar of Texas and the Collaborative Law Institute of Texas.  Speakers will present topics of interest to lawyers, financial professionals, and mental health professionals all of whom have an interest in helping families move through divorce with dignity and in a way that minimizes conflict.

On December 3, 2009, JoAl Cannon Sheridan will speak on "Discovery on a Shoestring" at the State Bar of Texas Ultimate Trial Notebook Seminar in San Antonio.

Kelly Caperton Fischer is speaking on the topic of "Retirement Assets and Employment Benefits" at the Family Law Essentials Course taking place on Friday, September 18, 2009, in Marble Falls.  The event is presented by the Pro Bono committeee of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, the Highland Lakes Bar Association and Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid.
